Earnings are realised, not projected: the difference between what a vault is worth now and the principal still behind its outstanding shares. A negative figure is impermanent loss outrunning collected fees, not an error. Yield annualises the share price since the vault's first snapshot — over a short life that extrapolation is noisy, and it is shown as — until there is more than an hour of history.
